It is not necessary to keep hydrogen under high pressure either in a car or a gas station. Hydrogen can be stored and transported in the form of a solid alloy that is 95% standard aluminum. Simply add water and hydrogen is produced on demand. My company has the patents, the tehcnology and by June 10, a demonstation one kilowat genset to show that not only does the process work, but that it can be controlled and regulated.
