The new energy bill is very poor. It didn't stop the Billion of incentives for oil and fossil fuels as well as Billions for Nuclear.
Then it also didn't help the REnewables like Solar and Wind. In spite of this poor policy it's still great to connect to REnewables. I put my grid tied system in back in 2001 with no incentives and not even net-metering. It cost less than my neighbors pool and has already paid for itself. It's now making money each month. I have bills for over 6 months each year where the utility owes me. The other half are very low at $20-30 a month.
Doing the right thing always pays.
