Agreed. As a matter of fact, there are few things I can think of that should be higher priorities for government spending than kickstarting, Manhattan Project-style, renewable, non-polluting energies such as ocean/river power, solar and geothermal.
Seriously! What else is more important? If all the money that's been spent on military actions of the last five years were spent on renewable energy, the U.S. and Britain likely wouldn't NEED to be in the Middle East! Jeez.
