But no - there's a project under way in the U.K. to turn dead cows into an energy source. Seriously.

Yet on second consideration, maybe these folks are are onto something. 

A 400-page report published late last year by the U.N.'s Food and Agricultural Organisation, Livestock's Long Shadow (read it here), maintains that the 1.5 billion cattle on the planet are responsible for 18 per cent of the greenhouse gases that cause global warming, more than cars, planes and all other forms of transport put together.
