Geothermal Energy 101 Finance and Development Workshop in New York

A workshop hosted by the Geothermal Energy Association (GEA) is to introduce geothermal energy to the NYC finance community. The event is to feature leading companies and experts from the geothermal industry, including ThermaSource, EGS, MidAmerican Energy, Ormat, Glitnir, US Renewables, GeothermEx, UTC Power and Terra-Gen Power.

The President of Iceland, Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, and Google.org’s Director for Climate Change and Energy Initiative, Dan Reicher, will participate as keynote speakers.

The GEA workshop will include a morning session where experts present a series of talks covering the basics of geothermal energy. In the afternoon, there are to be programs on the world and US market, finance, and a showcase of companies developing new projects.
