The 40 turbines will be used for installation at multiple sites in the Czech Republic.
Irvine, Calif.-based Composite Technology (OTC: CPTC) said today its DeWind subsidiary received a $90 million turbine order from S&M CZ, headquartered in Jevicko, Czech Republic.
Composite Technology said the 40 turbines, ordered without towers, would be used for installation at multiple sites in the Czech Republic.
"We are pleased to continue our history of selling high performance turbines to the European market," said Benton Wilcoxon, CEO of Composite Technology.
"With our manufacturing capability and established supply chain, DeWind is poised to move forward in several geographic markets."
The company said the 2 megawatt D8 turbines would be assembled at the Teco Westinghouse facility in Round Rock, Texas.
Composite Technology said the towers would be provided by the customer.
Under today's agreement, the company said the delivery schedule requires 10 turbines to be shipped in the fourth quarter of 2008, and 30 turbines to be delivered throughout 2009.
This is a repeat order from S&M, according to Composite Technology, which said the Czech firm purchased and received two D8 turbines fromDeWind in 2007, and is expected to take delivery of seven DeWind D6 turbines in the coming weeks.
Composite Technology said that S&M, a project development company, has wind farm projects in Zipotin, Anenska Studanka, Ostry Kamen, Vychodni Cechy, Morava and Olomucko in the Czech Republic.
