Sr. Marketing Manager

The Cleantech Group has an immediate need for a Sr. Marketing Manager reporting to the Head of Marketing. The candidate will work closely with the Head of Marketing, internal business units and partners to develop marketing strategy and programs, which drive the business goals of acquiring new customers in key markets, maintaining and growing industry leadership along with supporting revenue and growth objectives.

Candidate should thrive under pressure, have a passion for the environment and clean technology, with a deep understanding of cultural and international diversity.

Responsibilities:

  • A champion for the company by maintaining a high level of industry expertise and being able to speak with insight to the competitive landscape, services, trends and brand positions
  • Pro-active in assessing needs and delivering added value to the company and its business units wherever possible; even in situations where a project hasn’t yet been initiated
  • Provide direction and clear communication within internal team and to other departments
  • Implementing integrated marketing campaigns and co-ordination of marketing endeavours for multiple units, such as conferences, print and online marketing, email, direct mail, collateral, and website development
  • Perform customer and market research; understand the customer buying process in order to properly target and maximize the impact of marketing spend
  • Ensuring the overall client experience in terms of content, messaging, style, brand and frequency of contacts to market
  • Monitoring and tracking the ROI on programs against business goals in order to gauge the success of marketing efforts via CRM and other tools
  • Managing the budgeting for individual projects
  • Superior communication skills, including written and verbal presentation
  • Excellent judgment and influence skills
  • Demonstrate high degree of initiative
  • Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically – thoughtful and results oriented

Requirements:

  • 6 years of business to business marketing experience in technology, finance, cleantech or for an analyst firm
  • Demonstrated success in creating and executing multi-channel promotional programs
  • Strong experience working with a PR firm
  • Outstanding project management, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • History of managing to budgets
  • Ability to manage changing requirements and short timelines as well as, multiple overlapping projects at one time
  • MBA preferred

  • Work passionately and objectively on behalf of corporate and business unit’s objectives
